Pvt. Link Static is the communications expert of the Commando Elite. During the film, he is often seen doing surveillance on Alan, watching from trees or tapping his phone line while reporting back to Chip Hazard.

Creator

Link Static was created by Larry Benson who was a toy designer for a company called Heartland Playsystems who were bought out by Global Tech. Industries. His partner's name was Irwin Wayfair who created the Gorgonites.

Operations Executed (Chronological Order)

Link Static's main missions were to tap into communications of their enemies, the Gorgonites and scan signals for any traces of unusual activity. He also took part in almost destroying Archer, until Alan came in to see what all the hub-bub was about. He then got a successful recording of Alan having a conversation with his neighbor Christy Fimple, giving him and his fellow Commandos an opportunity to gain a hostage as Alan's feelings for Christy were strong and he would do anything for her including surrendering the Gorgonites, but this failed when they fooled with a decoy target and Alan and Archer rescued Christy. Another operation he took part in was when Alan and Christy were escaping, the Commandos launched an assault that blew the garage door off, in which Link Static had his own vehicle which was quite destructive.

Destruction

Link Static and the rest of the Commando Elite (except Chip Hazard) were destroyed after Christy and Alan made the jump over the small river. When the Commandos tried to jump the river, they were unsuccessful and were destroyed in from the fall in a huge explosion. 

Chip later activated more versions of him in a final battle, but they failed when their X-1000 chips were destroyed.

Trivia

• Link is the only one of the two Commandos to never have a action figure besides one at Burger King in a meal that was to promote the film. The other one is Butch Meathook.
• It is unknown what actual weapons Link had in his box as he never grabbed anything while leaving.
• Link is possibly the medic of the team.
• His lines in the final battle include "A broomstick!" "Lets follow em all the way back to pre school!" "Packing? Packing you!"
